Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha chaired a high-level review meeting on Monday to assess the implementation of three newly enacted criminal laws in the state. The meeting, held in Agartala, brought together key stakeholders, including officials from the Home Department, Police, Law, Prosecution, Forensic, Health, and Prison departments.
During the session, CM Saha emphasized the importance of ensuring a seamless transition to the new legal framework. He directed all departments to coordinate effectively and prioritize training and capacity-building programs for law enforcement and judicial officers. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to upholding justice and enhancing the efficiency of the criminal justice system.
Officials provided updates on their preparedness and discussed challenges related to infrastructure, manpower, and public awareness regarding the changes in the legal system. The meeting also focused on strategies to improve the enforcement of the new laws and streamline legal procedures.
