The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match officials for the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. The exciting semi-final clashes will see India take on Australia and South Africa face New Zealand.
In the first semi-final, New Zealander Chris Gaffaney and England’s Richard Illingworth will officiate the highly anticipated match between India and Australia at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Michael Gough will serve as the third umpire, with Andy Pycroft taking on match referee duties. Illingworth continues his stint in Dubai, having overseen India’s Group A clash with New Zealand, while Gaffaney was set to umpire Australia’s meeting with South Africa in Group B before it was washed out due to rain.
The second semi-final, to be held in Lahore, will feature Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena and Australia’s Paul Reiffel as the on-field umpires for the clash between South Africa and New Zealand. Joel Wilson will act as the third umpire, while Ranjan Madugalle will be the match referee for this encounter. Dharmasena officiated New Zealand’s victory over Bangladesh in Group A, and Reiffel was on duty during India’s win over Pakistan.
