After winning the toss, LSG opted to field first, hoping to capitalize on early movement. However, MI’s batting lineup delivered a strong performance, posting 215/7 in 20 overs. Will Jacks played a crucial role, scoring 29 runs off 21 balls and contributing with the ball by taking 2 wickets for 18 runs in 2 overs. His all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
In response, LSG struggled against MI’s disciplined bowling attack, managing only 161 runs before being bowled out in 20 overs. Despite efforts from key players, they failed to chase down the target, handing MI their fifth consecutive win in the tournament.
With this victory, MI continues their strong campaign, climbing higher in the points table. Meanwhile, LSG will need to regroup and strategize for their upcoming matches to stay in contention for the playoffs.
