Agartala: Additional Director General (ADG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) Eastern Command, Ravi Gandhi, arrived in Tripura on Monday for a three-day visit aimed at reviewing the security situation along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Upon his arrival at the BSF headquarters, ADG Gandhi was accorded a Guard of Honour and paid tribute to personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
During his visit, ADG Gandhi met with Chief Minister Manik Saha, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, and Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan to discuss the current security scenario and other key issues affecting the state. The discussions focused on enhancing coordination between the BSF and state authorities to address border-related challenges effectively.
ADG Gandhi also conducted field visits to several border-deployed units to assess the ground situation and interact with field commanders and jawans. These visits are part of his efforts to reinforce operational efficiency and boost the morale of BSF personnel stationed in the region.
The ADG’s itinerary includes a comprehensive review of operational preparedness and strategic matters, as well as visits to key border outposts. His presence underscores the BSF’s commitment to maintaining robust security measures along the international border and addressing emerging challenges.
