India’s leading infrastructure investment trust, IndiGrid, has announced the acquisition of two major assets—a 300 MW solar project and a transmission system—for ₹2,108 crore, marking a significant expansion in the renewable energy sector.
🔴 Key Highlights:
- IndiGrid will acquire ReNew Solar Aayan, a 300 MW (AC) operational solar project in Barmer, Rajasthan, known for high solar irradiation.
- The project has been operational since March 2024, with a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a fixed tariff of ₹2.37 per unit.
- IndiGrid will also acquire Koppal Narendra Transmission Ltd., an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project in Karnataka, operational since October 2023.
- The transmission asset includes 276 circuit kilometers of transmission lines and 2,500 MVA of transformation capacity, ensuring grid stability and energy access.
