Putin Refuses to Discuss Possibility of US-Israel Plot Against Iran’s Supreme Leader, Urges De-escalation

Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Russian President Vladimir Putin has categorically dismissed speculation about a possible US-Israel plot to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling it a topic he “does not even wish to discuss.”

Speaking at a roundtable with global news agency editors, Putin said,

“I do not even want to discuss this possibility. I do not want to.”

His remarks come as Israel and Iran continue to exchange missile strikes, with the conflict intensifying following Israel’s Operation Rising Lion, which targeted Iranian nuclear and military sites.

🕊️ Putin Offers Mediation, Emphasizes Peaceful Resolution

Putin reiterated Russia’s willingness to mediate between Iran, Israel, and the United States, proposing a framework that would allow Iran to pursue peaceful nuclear activities while ensuring Israel’s security concerns are addressed.

“This is a delicate issue… but in my opinion, a solution can be found,” he said.

He added that Russia has already shared its proposals with all parties involved and emphasized that the final decision rests with the political leadership of Iran and Israel.

🔍 No Military Clause in Russia-Iran Pact

Putin clarified that the Russia-Iran Strategic Partnership Treaty, signed earlier this year, does not include military cooperation, and Iran has not requested defense assistance from Moscow.

🌍 Global Reactions and Strategic Implications

While Putin called for restraint, US President Donald Trump reportedly rebuffed his mediation offer, saying,

“Vladimir, let’s mediate Russia first,” referring to the ongoing Ukraine conflict.

The situation remains volatile, with international observers warning of irreparable consequences if the conflict escalates further.
