Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended a voluntary blood donation camp at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala on Monday, where he personally interacted with donors and encouraged the spirit of volunteerism.
The camp, organized by the Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council (TSBTC), saw active participation from various sections of society. CM Saha inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and visited the donor area, appreciating their contribution to saving lives.
During his address, he emphasized the importance of regular blood donation, stating, “Tripura holds a significant position in the country in terms of blood donation. This trend should be maintained in the future as well.” He also highlighted the state’s 14 blood banks, including 12 government-run and 2 private facilities, and assured that more blood banks would be established in the coming days.
CM Saha’s participation in the event reflects the Tripura government’s commitment to healthcare and social welfare, reinforcing the need for community-driven initiatives to support medical emergencies.
