Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is gearing up for the launch of its latest smartphone, the Poco F7, in India. The device recently appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website, signaling that its release is imminent. This development has sparked excitement among tech enthusiasts, as the Poco F7 is expected to bring high-end features at a competitive price point.
The BIS listing reveals the model number 25053PC47I, which aligns with rumors suggesting that the Poco F7 might be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. If true, the smartphone could feature a 6.83-inch OLED LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with a massive 7,500mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging.
The Poco F7 is also rumored to include a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Additional features may include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, and a metal frame for durability.
While the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra models have already been launched globally, reports suggest that India might only receive the standard Poco F7. This strategy could be aimed at catering to the price-sensitive Indian market. Additionally, there are whispers of a special India-exclusive edition of the Poco F7, though details remain scarce.
With the BIS certification now in place, the Poco F7 is expected to debut in India by late April or early May 2025. As anticipation builds, Poco fans are eagerly awaiting official announcements and further details about the device’s specifications and pricing. The Poco F7 promises to be a strong contender in the mid-premium smartphone segment, offering cutting-edge technology and features.
