Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon has expressed her disgust over a man filming fellow actor Katrina Kaif during her holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh, turning what was supposed to be a peaceful moment into an invasion of privacy.
Katrina Kaif, who is married to “Chhaava” star Vicky Kaushal, accompanied her mother-in-law Veena Kaushal to Prayagraj on February 24 for the holy dip. Raveena Tandon was also present in the holy city on the same day, attending the evening aarti ceremony with her daughter Rasha Thadani and Katrina.
A video circulating on social media shows a man filming Katrina as she took the holy dip. In the clip, the man says, “Ye main hoon, ye mera bhai hai aur ye Katrina Kaif (this is me, that is my brother and that’s Katrina Kaif),” while other men around him laugh and close in to catch a glimpse of the actor.
Raveena Tandon commented on the video, shared by an entertainment news portal on Instagram, saying, “This is disgusting. These kinds of people spoil a moment that is supposed to be peaceful and meaningful.”
A section of social media users also condemned the men’s behavior, describing it as “embarrassing” and “disrespectful.” Comments such as “Very bad… Mass bullying” and “This is disrespect in so many ways” reflected the general outrage.
Reports suggest that a series of videos recorded by drones circulated online last week, showing Katrina getting mobbed as she tried to make her way out of the water after performing the ritual. The Maha Kumbh, which concluded on February 26, saw the attendance of several actors, including Vicky Kaushal, Sonali Bendre, Guru Randhawa, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher, Preity Zinta, Akshay Kumar, and Rajkummar Rao.
