Despite this personal achievement, Rashid had a challenging outing, conceding 48 runs in his four-over spell on a batting-friendly pitch. Punjab Kings capitalized on the conditions, posting a formidable total of 243/5, led by captain Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 97 and Shashank Singh’s quickfire 44*. Gujarat Titans fought valiantly in their chase, with Sai Sudharsan top-scoring with 74 off 41 balls, but ultimately fell short by 11 runs.
Rashid Khan’s accomplishment underscores his status as one of the IPL’s most consistent and impactful bowlers, with an impressive career economy rate of 6.83 and an average of 22.00.
